The joy of laziness
Jan. 19th, 2006 11:18 amI've got no work to do.
It's a lovely feeling.
I've even done all the stuff I've been putting off until I wasn't busy, such as coming up with feature ideas for Thor and sorting out the proofs for Chem@Cam's redesign. Admittedly I was up at 5.30am to drive to Cambridge, but I'm in today largely because a mate of mine is giving the research colloquium this afternoon (he lurks here on occasion, largely to check out the toilets - hello Paul!).
I'm now going to sit in the library and try and have Great Thoughts.
I may even excavate my desk later. I think the last Cambridge excavation was a couple of years ago; if it happens, the precise date will be easily identified by the archaeological nature of my filing system.
Of course there is the inevitable nagging doubt at the back of my mind that there's something utterly essential that I'm meant to be doing…
